1. The erector spinae muscles attach at the T-L (thoracolumbar) junction. If this junction gets very tight then the joints of this area can get very tight. If that happens then the cluneal nerves get irritated and can cause pain in the lower back.
2. When the erector spinae muscles get too tight and there is abdominal weakness, the pelvis will tilt.
